The playground will include a 4m activity net, smaller climbing structure, rope spinner, four-bay swing, car rocker, gears panel and play hut as well as a playpark system including a step bridge and two slides.
After further consultation with the community, it has also been decided two disability access swings will be added to improve its inclusivity.
Tamworth Regional Council is pleased with the pace the playground upgrade is moving at, with the project only getting off the ground in mid-January.
Director of regional services Peter Resch said it will be a valued asset for the community once it is available for use.
