The services will give customers more options to travel to places like Tamworth Hospital, Calala, the Tamworth Sports Dome and surrounding sporting facilities, the TAFE, the Taminda Industrial Estate, and shopping and leisure facilities in the CBD.
Those heading to areas outside of Tamworth like Quirindi will also benefit, with Saturday services added on as well.
"We worked with key stakeholders to make sure that the public transport network for Tamworth would meet the unique needs of the community, including better connections to community centres like the sporting complex and local hospital," Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson said.
"We are also introducing a new, more direct route from the Tamworth CBD to Calala via Goonoo Goonoo Road and Tamworth Shoppingworld. There will be seven return trips a day on weekdays and five on Saturdays."

The initiative is part of the state government's 16 Regional Cities Services program, which is aimed at building stronger public transport across regional parts of the state.
"This is about improving transport connectivity to support the growth of regional communities, and builds upon our vision to help make public transport a first-choice option for people living in the regions," Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Paul Toole, said.
