The peak body for agricultural shows has locked in an agreement with the state government for 192 shows to go ahead next year with 5000 guests on the grounds at any one time.
The show was always going to be back in some form, Tamworth Pastoral and Agricultural Association president Greg Townsend said.
"It definitely will be 100 per cent, it was always going to be that we would run a show in 2021 no matter what would happen, we were confident COVID-19 would be well and truly over," he said.
"We are confident with the way things are headed.

"We are talking about a possible vaccine by Christmas or not long after now, I feel sorry for the ones who can't bring too many into an event now but we are confident Tamworth will be in the box seat by September next year."
The 5000 person figure excludes show employees and volunteers.
