Congratulations to Jemma Coney, who has been selected for the race, and hopefully will follow in the footsteps of her sister Madi Young, who won the series in 2018.
Jemma will be driving the David Morris-trained Jimmy Locke out of the three barrier, with the $20,000 race set to go at 6.12pm.
Good luck also to Blake Hughes - the winner of the Tamworth Harness Racing Club drivers premiership, who will take the reins behind the Roy Roots Jnr-trained Marty Major from barrier five.
Jake Hughes has also accepted an invite into the race, along with Jack Callaghan. Both drivers are regulars at Tamworth Paceway.
With a field of 10 junior drivers covering all the regions, the race should be a highlight in their careers.
Also on the program is the KARI JC Caffyn Indigenous Drivers Invitational Pace, another series knocked around by Covid-19. It is also an invitational race this year.
Jimmy Brown, one of the original organisers of the 10-year-old series, will take the reins behind the Harry Martin-trained I Am Serengeti in the race. Brown has contested every series but is yet to win a final.
The $20,000 race is slated to go at 7.29pm.
Meanwhile, the $125,000 finals of the Breeders Challenge for two-year-old and three-year-old pacer will also be held at Menangle on Saturday.
Watts Up Sunshine, from the Rickie Alchin stables, followed his Tamworth heat win with a semi-final win at Menangle in a nice mile rate of 1min 52.9sec for 1609m and has drawn the nine barrier in the NSWBC 2YO Final for Colts and Geldings.
Heavenly Holly, from the Michael Formosa stables, is also a Tamworth winner and finished second to Anntonia in her semi-final and has drawn the nine barrier in the NSWBC 2YO Fillies Final.
Eye Can Run, from the KerryAnn Morris stables, also won her heat at Tamworth. Robbie Morris will handle the reins and the horse has drawn the one barrier in the NSWBC 3YO Fillies Final.
Harness racing will return to Tamworth on November 5, with patrons most welcome to attend.
