GROUP 4 is hoping for another influx of registrations to bolster plans for its inaugural West Entertainment Group 9s competition in October.
Earlier this week, Group 4 secretary Catherine Weeks received more than 50 nominations to play in the exciting new competition but a number of those nominated players are yet to register through the NSWRL.
Registration costs players just $80, Group 4 interim chairman Psarakis reminded intending players.
"That includes their insurance and full kit (jumper, shorts and socks)," Psarakis said.
"We just need to get the word out to all players that they just need to register now.
"Players who didn't nominate initially can still register to play too.
"We just need those players who haven't registered to do so as soon as possible before we hold Friday night's Draft Selection night at Wests."
Players intending to play in the inaugural WEG 9s can do so via Group 4's Facebook page, with the registration period closing on Friday.
Psarakis said Group 4 had received a good response in the nomination phase but just needed to convert those into registrations before Friday night's Draft Selection night in the Ken Chillingworth Room at Wests.
"Registrations have been extended for obvious reasons," Psarakis added.
Under the WEG 9s format four teams of 15-man squads will be selected at Friday night's Draft Selection night by the four selected captains (Scott Blanch, Brenton Cochrane, Mitch Doring and Cody Tickle) and their managers and/or sponsors.
Four franchises have been taken up by Marius Street Family Dental, JT Fossey, Careys Freight Lines and Shay Brennan Construction to play in the inaugural WEG 9s at Scully Park from Saturday, October 3.
Teams will play two games each night on October 3, 10 and 17 with the final night on October 31.
