Welcome back to watch democracy in action with a number of big decisions on Tamworth Regional Council's agenda.
Among those is a $50,000 game plan that sets out the next two decades of development for sport and recreation in the region.
The Sport and Recreation Strategic Plan has trigger points for new facilities as the region moves toward it's goal of a 100,000 population by 2041.
Speaking of sports, the outbreak of COVID-19 saw the annual sports awards set down for October cancelled due to safety concerns.
The awards celebrate the achievements of the region's sport stars, but with a limited summer season and the flow-on to winter sport, the awards were canned this year.
Water issues were back on the agenda.
A report from the council's water and waste director Bruce Logan argues the way water determinations are made in the current water sharing plan has a "lack of detail" that he believes "fosters suspicion that the process can be altered to suit circumstances or other agendas and outcomes.
And, a new code of meeting practice means live streams of Tamworth Regional Council meetings will need to be kept on its website for at least a year.
Either way our live blog will be immortalised here forever, please give it a moment to load below.
