AN 18-year-old Mungindi man has died after his ute crashed on Monday morning.

Police said the utility was headed east on Noondoo-Mungindi Road near Mungindi about 7.30am, when it left the road and hit a tree.
The teenage driver was the only occupant and died at the scene.
The crash was discovered shortly before 11am, and police rushed to the scene.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
EARLIER
A MAN who was riding with friends has been killed after crashing his motorbike during a Sunday ride.
The 59-year-old was riding west with a convoy of motorcycles on the Bruxner Highway, near Tenterfield, about 1.40pm.
Police have been told the man became separated from the group, lost control and crashed his bike.
Emergency services were alerted and called to the crash scene, about 40km east of Tenterfield.

Police set-up a crime scene which was examined by forensic police.
Investigators are trying to piece together the moments leading up to the crash, as they prepare a report for the coroner.
Officers are calling for any witnesses or anyone who might have dashcam footage of the group riding.
