Uniting McKay House was treated to an interactive workshop with Cody, the Tamworth library's resident robot, on Monday.
"They took a while to realise what it was but that was because it was something new ... and they were absolutely enthralled," Uniting Tamworth lifestyle co-ordinator Sally Abra said.

"When the residents came up and asked [Cody] questions and he responded, it was really lovely to see their faces light up."
Cody also showed off some tai chi movements.
The program is being run by the city library and aims to show older people they are part of the community and don't have to be intimidated by new technologies.
Eight Tamworth nursing homes are involved.
