"Thank you," the winning woman chuckled.
"We've just been running errands and my hubby had wandered off and I couldn't find him anywhere, so I came into the newsagency to check.
"Here he was sitting on a chair, with his mouth wide open. He looked gobsmacked.
"He looked at me and said, 'Love, we've won $100,000.'.
"I was so shocked. We both are.
"He's still speechless and sitting down because he can't move."
When asked how they planned to enjoy their prize, the overwhelmed couple admitted they were struggling to comprehend the news.
"Gosh, I don't know how we will spend this prize. We really need to think," the unsuspecting woman said.
"We will definitely share it with our family.
"We are going out for a late lunch today with friends, so we will shout them.
"We will even go to our local club tonight for dinner and take the whole family out to celebrate."
The winning entry was purchased at JJ's Newsagency Plus in Armidale.
JJ's Newsagency Plus owner Jessica Fischer said she was ecstatic to share the winning moment with local customers.
"It was amazing to be able to deliver the winning news to such great customers," she said.
"They are wonderful people and really deserve their prize. We couldn't be happier for them.
"Hopefully we sell some more major prize entries to our customers! It's an amazing feeling being able to help change someone's life."
