And now he is set to represent Central North for the first time after years of trying to achieve the goal.
Central North commence their Country Colts Championships campaign with a clash against ACT Southern Districts in Bathurst on Monday.

Off-spinner Baker, who moved from Albion to Old Boys this season, said it was "good to get here" - meaning having the chance to play for Central North.
"It's taken me a while," he said.
"But I'm here now, so that's good.
"Hopefully I just have a good week and everyone else has a good week, and as a team we go well."
He added: "I'm sure we'll do all right.
"We've got a pretty good bunch of blokes. I'm pretty sure we can give it a shake-up.
"Hopefully get a few wins under our belt."
