THE top oval of Timbumburi Public School will be a sea of glow sticks this Saturday night, as it hosts Carols in the Country.

The school's assistant principal, Andrew McDonald, said it was the third instalment of the event, which was "getting bigger and better every year".
"It's an event for the whole community, not just for our school," Mr McDonald said.
"It's something now that everyone marks in their calendar.
"It might raise a small amount of money for the school, but the main focus is on the community - it's a time to start relaxing, thinking about Christmas and spending time with the family."
Mr McDonald encourage families to bring a rug or some camp chairs to enjoy the "really nice atmosphere".
"The kids perform a couple of songs, but most will be done by professional musicians," he said.
Gates open at 6pm, carols start at 6.30pm. Entry is $10 for a family, which includes glowsticks.
