The group took to social media to announce the decision on Thursday.
"Due to hazardous conditions across all three zones in our region, the decision has been made (in fairness to all athletes) to cancel New England, Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast Zone Championships," the post read.
"Details about progression to Regional Championships will be circulated as soon as they are available."
The posted stated the decision to cancel the events had the backing of Little Athletics NSW (LANSW).
"These cancellations will inconvenience some people, for which we apologise," the post read.
"But the decision has been sanctioned by LANSW in the best interests of all."
A new date for the event is not yet known.
