Josh Hazlewood has shown the region's best young cricketers that there are pathways from the country to Test selection, Tamworth's junior cricket boss has said.

Ahead of round three of the Northern Inland Cricket Council's junior rep matches at Riverside on Sunday, Damian Henry urged the youngsters to work hard.

"He's [Hazlewood] come through the Tamworth junior system ... So, yeah, he sets a good example: if you work hard, the results can be gained," Henry said.
Henry is coach of the under-16 Tamworth Blue side, who have five players in the Central North side for the upcoming Bradman Cup.
They are Callum Henry, Central North's vice-captain, Kilian Apen, Jack Hamilton, Matt Holmes and Landan Price. Ben Livingston, who plays for Tamworth Gold, also made the side.
Henry predicted the Blue and Gold clash on Sunday "will be a good, even game".
