Police will allege the Oxley Vale man was travelling at nearly three times the speed limit when he was detected at 210km per hour on the outskirts of Tamworth.
The 42-year-old was behind the wheel of the silver Ford Falcon XR6 ute at about 7.30am on Saturday.
Highway patrol police were carrying out speed checks when they allegedly detected the man at speed, travelling towards Tamworth on Manilla Road at Oxley Vale.

Police said the posted speed limit was 80km per hour.
The 42-year-old was questioned and charged with driving in a speed that's dangerous to the public.
His licence was suspended on the spot and he was issued a notice to front Tamworth Local Court in November.
