Some came out luckier than others, but for some it was the perfect excuse to enjoy the sunshine with family and friends.
Under the shade Bec Crutcher, Emily Lowe, Sam Howard and Lisa Biddle had some great advice for punters.
"Number one, don't wear stilettos and number two, don't play, don't lose," Ms Biddle said.
Anzac Day is as much about mateship as it is commemorating those who have fought and died for their country.
