Work commitments have kept McNeill out of the reigning premiers’ lineup for most of the season – and his return has come at an opportune time, with Souths to be without Blues Blues quick Tom O’Neill this weekend.
Souths captain Mitch Smith said it was “big time” good to have McNeill back in the side. “We missed a few bowlers last week,” he said. “It will be good to have someone well experienced [available].”
“And [teenager quick] Josh Attard will be coming back,” he added. “So we’ll have three frontline pace blowers, which will be good, handy.”
