
ARMED robbers threatened staff at The Pub before fleeing with cash on Monday night.
Oxley Police District Chief Inspector Phil O’Reilly said the men were armed with knives when they ran into the pub on Gunnedah Road at 8:20pm.
“They went behind the bar area and demanded money from two staff there,” he said.
“They were given some cash and then fled in the direction of Aberdeen Street.”
The men are believed to be aged between 20 and 25 years old, of thin build, Caucasian and were wearing dark clothing at the time.
Chief Inspector O’Reilly said police have seized CCTV footage from The Pub and are reviewing it.
“We ask if anyone has information to contact Tamworth detectives,” he said.

Staff at The Pub would not comment on the incident, an investigation has been launched and detectives wish to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash cam vision from the area.
