BAE Systems Australia’s fleet of 30 CT4B training aircraft, known locally as “Parrots” will celebrate 27 years of operational service in a unique flypast Tamworth and aerobatic display over Tamworth Airport on Friday September 21.
Over almost 30 years the aircraft owned by BAE Systems at Flight Training Tamworth have achieved in excess of 320,000 flight hours.
“Undertaking the flypast and aerobatic display with the Royal Australian Air Force recognises the enormous contribution of our team at Flight Training Tamworth and these truly amazing aircraft,” BAE Systems Australia Aerospace and Integrated Systems Director, Steve Drury said.
Flypast details:
What: BAE Systems and the Royal Australian Air Force will participate in formation flypasts and aerobatic display.
1100 to 1130 - Formation flypast of CT4B aircraft - a flypast tracking over Tamworth east to west at 1000 feet followed by a flypast back over the Tamworth Airport.
1300 - Low level aerobatics display by a CT4B aircraft
1310 - Formation flypast of special livery CT4B aircraft - The formation will conduct a flypast over the Tamworth Airport tracking from north to south.
