The Queensland local travelled all the way to Tamworth for the week-long intensive, that pairs aspiring artists with legendary mentors.
“This year I’m doing the instrumental course so I’ll be playing in the band and learning all about the chord charts,” Cassi said.
“It’s amazing to be able to meet like-minded people and make lifelong friends, all the mentors here are just so helpful and understanding.
“It’s pretty amazing getting to listen to the stories and what they have to say, learning the insights and how to be the best musician and performer possible.”

Cassi’s country music club in Brisbane raised the funds to send her to Tamworth on scholarship.
Working with the likes of Travis Collins and Allan Caswell, Cassi hopes to learn enough to kick start her career.
“I love music, it’s been a big passion for me for years so I hope to continue on with it as a career,” she said.
The junior academy wraps up on July 15.
