The Northern Daily Leader photos featured very community minded people from volunteers to fundraisers and firefighters.
At the Volunteer Expo last week a number of local volunteer based organisations are in desperate need of extra helping hands, and many of them took the opportunity to recruit, in the lead up to Volunteer Week started on Monday to Sunday.

The Tamworth Station was one of many fire stations who threw open their doors on Saturday to show the public what went on behind the big red roller door. Children were able to meet fire fighters and play on the big red trucks, but the morning was also an opportunity for the NSW Fire and Rescue team to drum home the importance of fire safety and prevention around the home.
Another bunch of community minded people, The New England Bikers delivered some winter warmies to the local St Vincents’ de Paul on Sunday. The annual blanket run took place on Sunday to help those less fortunate.
