ORGANISERS of a photo competition have been “blown away by the positive response from the hardworking people of the Aussie cotton industry” as the deadline nears.
Cotton Australia’s Click 2.0 photo competition is seeking photos and videos that capture “beautiful moments from the 2017-18 Australian cotton season, whether it’s in the field, shed, gin or lab”.
General manager Michael Murray said the contest was to “give the world a glimpse into the lives of the people who are the backbone of our industry, and show off the stunning environment we have to produce this important crop”.
It showcases the people and moments of this cotton season in three categories: Aussie cotton people (photos), Aussie cotton landscapes (photos) and the moving image (videos).
Entrants are in the running for a share of $8000 in camera equipment vouchers.
Entries close on June 8 and winners will be announced at the 19th Australian Cotton Conference at the Gold Coast in early August.
