Captaining the Northern Inland U16s, McGuirk hammered 122 in a 137-ball innings that included 15 fours as the home side racked up 6-269 from their 50 overs.
McGuirk was ably assisted by Benji Marshall (53), the pair putting on 127 runs for the third wicket to follow a 59 run opening stand between McGuirk and Liam Rodgers (17).
Jack Montgomery also chipped in with 20.
Daniel Adelt was the best of the Mid North Coast bowlers with 3-50.
Jye Woodger (55) and Liam Adelt (40) then got the run chase off to a promising start but Montgomery (2-30) and Conrad George (2-37) put the brakes on with four quick wickets and they were only able to muster 7-209 in reply.
Scots College defeated Hunter Valley by five wickets in the other U16’s game, easily chasing down Hunter Valley’s 5-153.
William Stoneman’s 31 was the only real score of note.
Cameron Wynn then claimed 3-31 but it was in vain.
It was the opposite story in the U14’s with Hunter passing Scots’ 7-179 in 42 overs and with seven wickets to spare.
Backing up from his 1-22, Lachlan Page anchored the chase with an unbeaten 74.
Jed Collins also made 28 after leading the bowling charge with 3-38.
Callum Henry meanwhile fell just short of a century with a run-a-ball 92 to lift the Northern Inland U14’s to an impressive 5-254.
Jack Hamilton was also in good touch with 67, and combined for a 68 run stand with Henry.
The Mid North Coast bowlers shared the wickets around with five different bowlers picking up a wicket.
In reply, after an early stumble they were looking on target to get the runs with Lachlan Dowling (106), with good support initially from Brett Hutley (42), guiding Mid North Coast to 4-195 but the Northern Inland bowlers hit back late to bowl them out for 223.
The fielding was also superb, Northern Inland affecting three run-outs for the innings.
The other wickets were shared between Matt Holmes, Sam Johnson and Kilian Apen, each with two, and Landan Price.
In the U13’s Scots’ bowling attack was too hot for Hunter Valley to handle rolling them for just 53.
That was after they had posted 189 despite Alex Stafa’s (4-24) best efforts.
Northern Inland’s bowlers also did the job dismissing Mid North Coast for just 74.
Jonte Ross (12) and Bryce Cook (12) were the topscorers in an innings that was wrapped up inside 17 overs.
Brock Parsons (2-12), Logan Spinks (2-19), Joey Fowler (2-10) and Nick Mead (2-9) did the damage for Northern Inland, who replied with 5-78.
Fowler steered them to victory with an unbeaten 30, Cook backing up his efforts with the ball with 2-22.
