Justice Robert Allan Hulme delivered his judgement in Newcastle Supreme Court on Wednesday, finding Mr Davis guilty of murdering Gwen Fowler, 83, and Ryan Kelly, 80, and the attempted murder of Audrey Manuel, 91, by injecting them with large doses of insulin in October, 2013.
Davis hung his head and wiped away a few tears when the verdict was read out.
He faces the prospect of life in jail when sentenced.
Justice Hulme was ultimately able to piece together Crown prosecutor Lee Carr’s circumstantial case and eliminate all other visitors, staff and residents at SummitCare Wallsend.
He rejected defence claims that there could have been more than one perpetrator, that an intruder into the facility could have committed the offences or that a resident was capable of injecting the three victims.
