FROM centre stage to the rugby field, you just never know where you will spot a Calrossy Anglican School student doing their thing. The last week has been no exception with several Calrossy students extremely busy starring in the immensely popular Tamworth Musical Society production, Mary Poppins.

In Year 4 at the school is Paul Sayad who is playing Michael Banks. Nine-year-old Paul is one of two boys performing the starring role of Michael in the much-loved musical.
After months of rehearsals, Paul performed on the gala opening night and his role will see him take to the stage for seven full performances, concluding this Saturday evening.
Paul is not the only Calrossy student helping bring the timeless tale of the loveable nanny to life on the Tamworth stage.
In the Secondary Girls, Sarah Nash, 16, and Maddy Torrisi, 14, are also treading the boards in the musical.
Both girls are playing multiple roles in the female ensemble and have been receiving glowing feedback from cast, crew and audiences.
On a completely different note, Calrossy enjoyed success in the NSW Secondary Schools State Rugby Sevens, held in Armidale last Friday.
The school's under 14's side won through to the final, after taking out all three of its pool games and its semi-final.
The Calrossy boys defeated Moree's St Philomena's in the final 30 to 15.
Our under 16 boys also had a successful carnival, winning through to the final before going down to O'Connor Catholic College four tries to two.
Unfortunately, that's the end of the championships for both sides, with the under 14's age division not playing at the State Championships in Sydney later this year.
The Calrossy boys also showed their softer side last week, with the Secondary Boys holding a "high tea for mum and me".
The inaugural afternoon tea designed to indulge some of the School's mums attracted more than 170 boys and proud mums. They enjoyed a range of delicious sweet and savoury treats made by Calrossy's talented in-house catering team.
The evening was designed as a special thank you to all our school mums, with the Secondary Girls, holding a similar event the week before.
Calrossy would also like to thank its talented catering team, which is also responsible for a staggering 1600 plus delicious meals a day.
