It has been a long road for Tyson Hubbard and Stuart McAdam who attended a vocal camp at Lake Keepit in March with over 50 enthusiastic hopeful young people all eager to be offered a place in the Central Northern Choir.
After five exhausting days only 16 students made the cut with Tyson and Stuart among them.
The boys travelled to Sydney on the train yesterday ((Tuesday November 24)) with Di Hall, the director of the Central Northern Choir, where they went straight into a couple of gruelling rehearsal sessions.
Today ((Wednesday)) and tomorrow the Central Northern Choirs will join and become part of the Sydney Schools Spectacular Choir.
The students will rehearse a staggering five hours in the morning and another five hours in the afternoon both days before a Friday matinee followed by a Friday night show.
On Saturday it's straight back to rehearsal in the morning before a Saturday night show.
Both boys are thoroughly looking forward to this exciting yet draining experience.
Tyson would like to be a music teacher when he leaves school and it looks like he is on the right track.
As for Stuart he is thinking of pursuing a career in either performing or writing.
Farrer wishes both students all the very best in Sydney and are sure they will make the Central North area very proud.
