Boggabri's opening round win over Narrabri has been followed by the club unveiling former Queensland Cup player Didymus Blankett as a new signing.

Blankett, whom the Roos described as a versatile back, had his first training run with Boggabri last week after relocating to the region from Far North Queensland.
The 24-year-old has played Queensland Cup for Tweed Seagulls and the Northern Pride.
In a Facebook post, Roos coach Shane Rampling said he was "really excited to have Didymus join the club", as he brought with him "a wealth of experience and knowledge which our other players can learn from".

In the same post, the Roos said Blankett's "versatility allows him to fit [in] any position in the backline".
They also said he was "looking forward to bringing his family down to the relaxed lifestyle in Boggabri & can't wait to take advantage of some great fishing spots".

Boggabri, who beat Narrabri 40-22 in round one, host Dungowan on Saturday.
