On a hot day at Longfield Park on Sunday, Central North won their first Connolly Cup match - in what is their debut season in the competition - after being put into bat and finishing on 8-295 off 50 overs.
They then dismissed Quirindi - on a high after a rare win over Tamworth a week ago - for 129 in the 27th over.
Colts No 4 Callum Henry made a golden duck for City United against North Tamworth on Saturday.

On Sunday, he struck a 62-ball 55.
Henry said Central North's participation in the Connolly Cup had given the side an ideal preparation for the Country Colts, which starts in Bathurst on January 10.
Henry said: "It's good playing games leading up to [Country] Colts," he said.
"Usually we go down there with maybe one training session."
Central North's win against Quirindi followed losses against Tamworth and Narrabri.
After losing opening Baylee Borrow with the score on 11, Central North controlled the contest masterfully.
Kilian Apen (22) and Max Farmer (a 68-ball 57) produced a 53-run second-wicket stand, before Farmer and Henry combined for a 54-run third-wicket stand that propelled Colts to 3-118.
Farmer's match-high innings included two sixes and three fours.
Once he went, Henry and Lachlan Page - who struck a 46-ball 42 - kept the momentum going with a 77-run fourth-wicket partnership.
Nick Hird (3-58 off 10 overs) and Todd Burgess (3-68 off nine over) did most of the damage for Quirindi.
In reply, the home side raced to 2-72 - with opener Burgess blasting a 12-ball 28 that included two sixes and three four, while No 3 Jye Paterson - coming off a century against Tamworth - struck a 23-ball 30 that included a six and four boundaries.
But that was as good as it got for Quirindi.
Apen took 3-15 off three overs.
