Punters headed to the Tamworth Jockey Club on the weekend after the meeting was shifted following recent rainfall in Armidale.
Eight races were run and won including the big one that went to a Tamworth trainer.
The Troy O'Neile-trained Beckford stormed home to take out the cup over Point Counterpoint, trained by Armidale's Stirling Osland.
While Osland missed out in the big one, he still had a successful day.
He snared a winning double with Golden Point and Buffet Buster.
Tamworth trainer Cody Morgan also got a pair of wins - with Ice In Vancouver and Chelsea Reign - while in the jockey ranks, Casey Waddell had a good day by taking out a double as well with I'm On Break and Small Town.
