Following in the footsteps of their father Brendan at the club, Daisy and Edward have left their own imprint in recent years.

On Saturday, it was Daisy who wrote another chapter when she won her second Veronica Griffiths Trophy. She now sits one best and fairest award behind Edward who has won three men's awards.

The siblings shared a bit of banter before the presentation night about Daisy equalling Ed's record but whether she has the chance to draw level in the next few years remains to be seen.

If all goes to plan, she won't be in the red and white next year - well not of the Tamworth Swans anyway.

The high school graduate wants to move to Sydney to attend university while pursuing her dream of playing AFLW.

"I could be playing here another year which I'd be more than happy to because of the team - it's a great club to be around and a great community," George said.

"But there's also uni which is another step forward toward an AFLW career which is what I want to pursue.

"In Sydney, the Sydney Swans Academy is a new academy that's come out with the girls and then there's also the GWS [Greater Western Sydney Giants] so there's two places I can go through with Sydney Uni but just waiting on ATAR to get in."

George will have to wait until January 20 when ATARs are released. If she gets the mark she is aiming for, a degree in physiotherapy is likely where George will land.

"That can open up a lot of career paths," George said.

George claimed the player's player award as well as picking up her second best and fairest award.

In the short history of the Swans women's team, just two players have won the B&F award - George and Billie Mitchell have both won twice.

They shared the award in the team's inaugural year in 2019. There was no chance of a tie this year as George won the award with 60 votes ahead of Taylor Skelton (26) and Kathleen Voon (25).
