Group 4 chairman Terry Psarakis has labelled 2021 as "the best season in a long time", based on the evenness of the competition before COVID-19 struck.

With the competition suspended due to the pandemic, only five points separate first-placed Narrabri from third-placed North Tamworth - but the Bears have a game in hand.

Second-placed Kootingal-Moonbi are three points behind Narrabri, with a game in hand.
While fourth-placed Moree are eight points behind the Blues.
Sixth-placed Gunnedah slumped after a sequence of losses but were competitive in most games, while sixth-placed Boggabri have four wins from 12 games.
Seventh-placed Werris Creek have been disappointing, with only three wins.
However, one of those wins was against sixth-time reigning premiers Norths.
Psarakis said: "It's been more equal, which, as a Group, is what we wanted: some good, hard games.
"I think there were four or five games that were a draw at full-time.
"That's a good, even comp, the way I look at it."
Last week, Psarakis conceded that the season resuming was "not looking good".
