Both the co-accused have already been handed the date of October 6 to front a hearing in Gunnedah Local Court.
Mr Thompson had already earmarked the date for Hennessy, after setting it down for the other men during an earlier court appearance.
He asked Hennessy's lawyer to note it if his client did decide to go to a hearing.
The case mention last week confirmed this outcome.
Hennessy has been on strict conditional bail and Mr Thompson continued it in court last week.
Police claim a gang attacked a 29-year-old man inside the Railway Hotel on Barber Street.
It's alleged the attack occurred in Gunnedah, about 11:30pm on February 27.
The police case is that the complainant was punched and kicked and suffered facial injuries as a result of the alleged nighttime assault.
The 29-year-old man was taken to Gunnedah hospital for further treatment, but has since been released.
Police made two public appeals for information and released CCTV in a bid to help officers identify a group of men who were wanted for questioning in relation to the alleged attack.
The case was adjourned.
