After conceding eight goals in a seven-goal loss to Flames the previous week, the 3-nil scoreline made for a pleasing turnaround.
"I thought our defence was excellent," Littlejohns said.
"I think that's what got us over the line."

Their pressure was one of features of the defensive effort.
"The defence didn't really give them (Waratahs) a lot of chances. They put a lot of pressure on and forced turnovers," he said.
Bridget Tydd put Olympians ahead with the first of her double relatively early in the first quarter. It was then 1-nil for a long time, Littlejohns said, with their last two goals coming in the second half.
Their sixth win of the season, it was a welcome one.
"It was really important we had a win to keep a bit of confidence in them (players)," Littlejohns said.
It also puts them equal fourth with Waratahs on what is a congested table with only seven points between second and sixth.
They have still "got a lot of work" to do, he said, and spoke about finding that consistency.
"We're still a bit inconsistent as last week's result showed," he said.
Tydd as usual got through a lot of work.
Littlejohns also made mention of keeper Eva Burke stepping up from second grade to fill in for injured regular keeper Rebecca Davidson. She made a couple of good saves off short corners, he said.
After some big scorelines last round, the contests were a lot closer on Sunday with Flames and South United both scoring one goal wins in the other games. Flames pipped Services 2-1 while Souths beat Tudor Wests also 2-1.
