Plans for the 4,660 square metre warehouse in Taminda's new Federation Park industrial estate were made public on Thursday.
Metroll is a major Tamworth manufacturer, producing metal building products including roofing, cladding, rainwater, structural and fencing products.
They already employ 22 local residents at their Jewry Street site.
If approved the new store would create an additional three jobs at its Curtis Street site, bringing total full time employment to 25, according to the project DA.
Almost the entire new structure will be given over to manufacturing, with some 4027 square metres to be used for a shop floor and warehouse area.
The new building will also include a covered loading area and an administration and sales office.

If approved, the structure would be built in a single stage. The development is estimated to cost about $4,800,000. Its lot is currently vacant, but was for many years used for agriculture until it was developed as a sports field. It is protected from flooding by the Taminda levee.
The Federation Park subdivision also includes the Transwest Fuels service station.
The development application for Taminda's new Federation Park industrial estate will be available for public consultation until June 3.
