A man, believed to be in his 50s, died at the scene on Wednesday night after his truck left the road and crashed into a tree on Werris Creek Road at Duri.
The accident happened about 10.20pm after passersby found the wreckage of the truck.
Police said the driver was the only occupant in the cabin and died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been set up at the scene and investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner and diversions are in place around the crash scene.
Motorists are urged to obey Tamworth Regional Council staff who are directing traffic, and allow extra travel time.
