The game plan for Blake Christie and Colby Edgar at the Australian Mini Bull Championships was a simple one - don't let go - and for most part it worked.

Christie rode out all four of his bulls to win the senior division while Colby rode out two of his four bulls - including one where he was bucked off at 7.4 seconds - to finish fourth.
Christie took home over $2000 in winnings along with a pair of buckles including the championship buckle.

The pair also got to experience the thrill of riding at the opening event of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) season at the Great Western Hotel.
"It was pretty cool being there with everyone that gets on in the PBR," Christie said.
Edgar added: "It was a big event so it was really good for the mini bulls to be there for the first time.
"There was a fair few people there. I heard all the tickets were sold out at the Great Western."
The 15-year-olds want to progress through to the PBR one day but they have a few years in the mini and junior bull ranks before then.
They will close out the season in the mini bulls category with the NRA (National Rodeo Association) finals to be held in November.
Coming off his win at the Austrailian Mini Bull Championships - along with a win at Toolombilla Rodeo on the way up - Christie is ranked number one in Australia in the mini bulls.
Edgar isn't far off and is ranked fifth.
The pair want to keep improving as they head toward into the November finals and will keep themselves busy until then.
"We'll be going to rodeos pretty much every weekend," Edgar said.
After this season, the boys will step up to junior bulls which are "fully-grown bulls, just a bit younger" than those in the senior ranks.
They've had a taste on the junior bulls before and learnt a good lesson from it.
"You can't stuff around when you hit the ground," Christie said.
