The Cougars legends have been mates for two decades and were given a shock when they were given Tamworth Baseball life membership on Saturday.
And getting the award together made it all the more better for the pair.
"That really made my day," Douglas said of sharing the moment with Lemming who added: "That was awesome. We've been mates for 20 years.
"We've played baseball together, our families go on holidays and camping together. It was good to get it alongside him."

Douglas said "a few tears came to my eyes" when he heard the news which was kept a secret from both him and Lemming.
"It was a big surprise. Neither myself or Brett Douglas knew it was coming," Lemming said.
Lemming, 62, and Douglas, 55, have held a number of positions over the years both with Cougars Baseball Club as well as Tamworth Baseball.
They have held the role of president at Tamworth Baseball, among other positions, and both are big supporters of junior baseball.
They have both served as junior president while most recently Douglas has sponsored the juniors through his company B and S Douglas Transport.
The duo, who are also life members with Cougars, have both put the gloves away now.
Douglas did so after being involved with Cougars for the past 14 or so years. He'd previously played for Warriors for about 15 years.
"The old body said it's about time," Douglas said.
For Lemming, he finished up about four years ago.
"It was very hard to get out of bed in the morning on Monday to go to work," he said.
Lemming's Tamworth Baseball career started with West Leagues Robins in 1978 before he joined Cougars in 1984.
In that time, he said he'd gotten plenty from the sport he'd put so much time in to.
"I always liked to be involved at a committee level. It's just a fantastic sport," Lemming said.
"Most of my friends have been with me right through baseball and I've met a lot people through it."
