Sascha Verdouw knows all too well that becoming a mother is a crash course in the strength you never knew you had; there's sleepless nights, unbounded joy and all the incredible moments in-between.
And, as she prepares for her first Mother's Day just two weeks after giving birth to baby Elkie, she has her mother and her partner Jesse's mum to share it with for the first time in six years.
"We were pretty blessed, we had a rough trot falling pregnant so it was amazing to have this little one and go through the journey," she said.
"I've been really blessed with a dream of a baby, I thought it would be a lot harder and I'm sure it's still to come.
"I feel really empowered being a mum, the fact that I've grown this human and now am giving her life and raising her, knowing that we get to shape her life and influence her life is what I'm excited about being her mum, and dressing her up - that's actually one of my favourite things."

This Mother's Day, Tamworth's Birth Beat founder Edwina Sharrock said it's important to check in on the bub, but also look after mum.
"It's something we need to talk about more publicly," she said.
"If you come to visit the baby, maybe unpack the dishwasher or put a load of washing out, think about how you can actually help and don't expect to be waited on.
"Mums need our support; when the baby is born that first 12 weeks is a time of recovery and bonding and really mother, baby and her partner need to be nurtured."
