Gunnedah and Glen Innes Fire and Rescue crews received multiple callouts within 24 hours over Saturday.
For Gunnedah, one job has resulted in a stern message: "Don't pour fuel on the road and light it, it's stupid".
They attended Little Bloomfield Street, where a passersby witnessed a group pouring fuel onto the road and lighting it up.
It wasn't alight when crews got there, however they had to use absorbent material to "nullify" the fuel left on the road.
"The perpetrators of this incident will no doubt be in the running for the 'Top 10 Dumbest Acts of 2021 Award'."
For Glen Innes, they were called to a diesel spill on the New England Hwy 10kms south of Deepwater.
A B-double lost control, and as a result, one of its diesel tanks ruptured.
Their second call came at 11:36pm in response to a shed fire on the New England Highway. Crews were confronted with a burning shed containing bikes and machinery.
The property owner was hospitalised with burns from attempting to extinguish the blaze prior to the brigade's arrival.
