"We have seen further offending over the weekend in Hillvue and South Tamworth and North Tamworth.
"The Proactive Crime Team is continuing to target property crime offences and offenders with a number of strategies. Those operations will continue this week."
Detective Darcy said majority of offending was occurring at night when offenders were targeting homes through unlocked windows and doors, or forcing their way in.
"We have seen offenders creeping around at night, stealing cars from premises, so we would urge community members to secure their homes, and put keys to homes and cars away in a safe spot," he said.
"We have seen incidents where those keys have been left on benches or near doors and they're used to steal vehicles immediately.
"And always, always report suspicious activity or people wandering the streets late at night or in groups who look out of the ordinary.
"Don't hesitate to call police so we make patrols."
The break-ins weren't the only things that kept police busy over the weekend in Tamworth.
"There were a number of assaults over the weekend that were domestic related which continues to be a concern for officers," Detective Darcy said.
"Investigations are continuing into those incidents and further action is pending."
