It's our last chance to tell the council how we coped or didn't with the water restrictions, what methods we think could be used at the moment and in the future to drought proof our water supply.
If you have forgotten to include information or ideas in your survey you can send an email to the council trc@tamworth.nsw.gov.au by 5pm Friday, 5th February. (I had forgotten how most of my water saving methods ceased when COVID came to town.)
Our Alliance is very concerned that with the overall increase in temperature, dehydration of soils and reduced stream flows, (see CSIRO/BOM report Nov2020) a new dam will not help drought proof our water especially if it is controlled by the state government and not our council. Purified recycled water is being used by many cities and countries around the world including Australia.
