POLICE are still searching for a stolen car in Tamworth from the weekend after more break-ins were reported across the city on Wednesday.

Three homes in East Tamworth and Oxley Vale were targeted by thieves overnight on Tuesday with personal goods stolen.
Detective Acting Inspector Matt O'Hehir said the offences were believed to be linked but "crucial" CCTV had been obtained from some of the homes.
"We're in possession of that CCTV vision and the images supplied to us are very beneficial in assisting with the investigation," he said.

"Police are investigating links between the offences, and recent offending in Tamworth.
"We have made some significant arrests for property crime but we are calling for witnesses and anyone with footage of offenders that could assist police in identifying those involved."
A white Ford XR6, bearing plates BP-30-MJ, was still outstanding after being stolen from a break-in in Tamworth on the weekend.
Detective O'Hehir said high-quality images, which had been provided by some victims, was another tool for locals to invest in, to target harden their homes.
"Obviously it's a massive benefit for any investigation," he said, urging locals to lock up, secure their homes and cars and report any suspicious activity at any time of day or night.
