Boggabri have assembled a side capable of making the finals for the first time in the club's short top-grade history, Roos coach Shane Rampling has said.

A strong off-season recruitment drive meant the Roos now had about 25 "quality" first-graders, Rampling said.
The squad includes five former Blues, with Isaiah Adams and Ray Goodwin joining fellow ex-Blues Josh Trindall, Rob Doolan and Bevan Flanagan at the Roos.

Trindall, Doolan and Flanagan joined the club last year, but are yet to play for Boggabri after the 2020 season was cancelled due to the coronavirus.
Former Narrabri reserve-grade coach Dave Toomey has also defected to Boggabri.
"I've always said that if you've got a strong reserve-grade side, you've pretty much got a strong club," Rampling said.
"[There is] plenty of depth and experience throughout our first-grade squad.
"The last two years we've probably had 17-18 quality first-grade players; now we're sort of pushing up to the mid-20s, which gives us really good competition for spots."
He continued: "The two years we've been in first grade we've been slowly building to where we need to get to, and each year we've performed better. And this year, hopefully ... we can take that next step to challenge for finals positions."
Rampling said Boggabri now had "so much depth and variation" in the backline.
He said Trindall, Doolan and Adams were "probably" the main recruitment focus, given what the Roos had been "lacking" in the backs. Trindall is a playmaker, Doolan can play fullback or centre and Adams is a winger-cum-five-eighth.
Trindall, he continued, is the "out and out" halfback the side had craved.
"He gives us direction, he gives us plenty of experience, to lead a side around the park," Rampling said.
He added: "We've always had pretty big, mobile forwards who got us on the front foot. But I think that adding some experience and a bit of X factor in the backline is gonna compliment our forwards.
"So guys like Ben Haire and Bailey Lennox will go to a different level playing alongside somebody like Josh Trindall."
Rampling said he "jumped on the chance to grab" Toomey when he was overlooked for the first-grade coaching role at Narrabri this year. The job went to Jake Rumsby.
"On the back of the that, he's brought a few players with him," Rampling added.
