A 59-YEAR-OLD man has been flown to hospital after a tree fell and landed on him, at a property north of Tamworth on Tuesday afternoon. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and ambulance paramedics rushed to a property at Rocky River, near Uralla, after reports a man had been seriously hurt about 12:30pm. READ ALSO: A spokesperson for the chopper said the 59-year-old man was felling trees at the property when one of the trees fell and landed on him, crushing his ankle. The helicopter's critical care team and paramedics treated the man at the property for "serious leg injuries", including multiple ankle fractures. The 59-year-old man was stabilised for transport and was taken to Lismore hospital for further treatment. It is understood he was in a stable condition.
