"Just to get some good times again," the Kootingal-Moonbi Swimming Club swimmer said before the championships.
Deasey did just that.
She competed in the 16 years 50m freestyle and 100m breaststroke and produced top swims in both events.
"In my 100 breaststroke, I did the best time I've done since knee surgery in a long course pool," Deasey said.
"My 50 free, I broke 30 for the first time in a long course pool. I finished middle of the field for both and I was happy with both swims."

Meanwhile, Bella Pollard from 360 Scully Park Swimming Club also competed at the championships at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
Pollard competed in the 14 years 100m butterfly, 200m butterfly and 200m backstroke.
She put in some huge efforts with her best result coming in the 200m butterfly where she just missed out on qualifying for the final.
Tamworth City Swimming Club also took a big team over with Amelia Simm being a standout performer by claiming a couple podiums.
