The now 13-year-old was exposed to the world of speedway by her stepfather Keith Urquhart.
He had recently returned to the sport which in turn gave Isobelle her first taste.
"Seeing him do it, how much he enjoyed racing and how much fun he seemed to be having, I was like 'I want to do that'," Isobelle said.
"I've seen all the people he's met throughout speedway as well.
"It started from that really and I like the colour of his car. That kinda jagged me into it."
Isobelle now races in the same colour car as her stepdad - pink.
She wasn't able to jump in and start racing straight away. The Oxley student was old enough to start racing in October last year.
Isobelle's confidence has grown immensely after first jumping in the car to take on the boys about 12 months ago.
"I'm getting faster but at first it was really scary to be out there with all the boys," she said,
"They are all pretty much older than me and more experienced but you just get out there and have a go."

Isobelle will be having another crack this weekend.
Oakburn Park Speedway hosts racing on Saturday but for Isobelle, the rush she gets from racing comes before then.
"I love the excitement you get the day before and the day of racing. I love the nerves," she said.
Isobelle has only raced "two or three" other girls in her travels and hopes more take up the sport.
"I'd love to see women in motorsport because it's not a thing you see very often," she said.
Racing starts at 4.30pm with tickets and the covid register both at the gate.
A range of races will take place with the main feature of the night being the V8 Dirt Modifieds which organiser Paul Slade described as: "fire-breathing monsters".
