The West Tamworth quick is sitting the 2020/21 season out - and with good reason, too.
Ridgewell and his fiancée Stacey Jones welcomed a little boy, Charlie, into the world on October 29.
Add onto that a new job at Mannion Drilling that Ridgewell "really enjoys" and it's safe to say Ridgewell has his hands full.

But the 22-year-old "can't fault" where his life is at at the moment.
"I am pretty happy - can't really beat it. I've got a little baby and the missus is doing really well," he said.
Ridgewell does admit there's times where he misses pulling on the whites of a weekend.
He's even had a couple people in his ear about playing this season but Ridgewell is more than content with his decision.
"I've had a couple people pestering me to play the last few weeks but I don't see that happening," he said.
"I've enjoyed the time off. I can relax and spend time with my partner and baby."
It's also been a good chance for Ridgewell to rest his body - his shoulder in particular.
It's usually fairly non-stop for Ridgewell. Through summer he is usually charging in for Wests while in winter he throws down fast balls for Cougars.
"It's been good to have the time off. I've spent the last six years playing either baseball or cricket for 12 months of the year," he said.
"You definitely start to feel it. The shoulder is fatiguing at the back end of both seasons and then there's a few weeks in between to get a bit of recovery time."
Ridgewell hasn't been completely removed from cricket. He headed down to the Wests-Bective clash two weeks back. Both teams are still searching for their first win after that match ended in a tie but Ridgewell thinks one isn't far away for Wests.
"They've picked up a few new blokes, some I don't know, but they've got guys like Dave Mudaliar and Harrison Kelly - who on his day is the best player in town in my books," Ridgewell said.
"It's just gotta click for them and they'll get wins under their belt."
