Reviving the region is no easy task in the COVID-19 pandemic, but Tamworth Regional Council (TRC) general manager Paul Bennett said he was impressed with what the community came up with.
"We got 65 fantastic ideas ... which have now been workshopped with our councillors and the councillors have agreed to take essentially all of those 65 ideas on board in some way," he said.

"We really want to bring the community together in a way that allows them to celebrate, to interface with each other, and have a good time.
"That's where COVID has had its biggest impact, on the economy and then the isolation of people."
Dozens of ideas and concepts came flooding in from all sorts of different people from across the region with different hobbies, interests and experiences.
Mr Bennett said sporting events, street markets, competitions, treasure hunts and entertainment shows were all on the cards.
"There's a whole bunch of activities around events, economic development, tourism, and some community events to rebuild community spirit and optimism," he said.
"All sorts of things to get people out and help them visit places they might not have otherwise."
And, residents could look forward to heading to some of these events or participating in activities sooner than expected.
"We just hit the beautiful weather period so we are certainly keen, and obviously with recent announcements about the country music festival, we certainly have the resources in the events area to actually progress some of these things much more rapidly than we otherwise would have," he said.
"I certainly expect we will be rolling things out, certainly within the next month or two."
Each idea has been allocated to the relevant council division to have a look at.
TRC confirmed a report would be produced on the validity of each idea and the when they could be safely pulled off.
The city's Youth Council is working separately to come up with plans to "reinvigorate" young people in Tamworth.
