Now, Ms Fisher and a group of about a dozen women from the club have donated money towards the clubhouse's makeover to bring it into a new era.
"The club has done a whole lot of marvellous renovations and we play there twice a week, so we thought we'd help them out and give them some money," she said.
The group meet up for games of tennis and sometimes morning teas, and throw in some extra coin each week to save up and make a donation to a local charity or organisation.
Ms Fisher said the club was "very pleased" when they decided to hand over a donation towards the new-look clubhouse.

She's seen plenty of changes at the sporting club over the past decades, and said this recent renovation looks great.
About $500 raised by the team of keen players - some of whom are in their 80s - will go towards setting up the renovated kitchen with new appliances and crockery.
Ms Fisher said as the group gets older, they try and donate to charities they "might need in the future".
And the tennis club fits that criteria - Ms Fisher said none of the women want to give up the game because they enjoy it so much.
West Tamworth Tennis Club president Brian Brooking said putting the donation towards kitting out the kitchen means the ladies' donation will go towards something they'll be able to make great use of when they catch up at the club.
He said he was overwhelmed with their thoughtfulness and generosity, especially when they already contribute so much to the club.
"Even though we're in tough times and money is tight, there are always people that find kindness in their hearts and contribute to the community," he said.
"They have a very positive outlook on life."
The West Tamworth Tennis Club has just undergone a 12-week revamp, including a new disabled bathroom, windows with a better court view, a bigger seating capacity and a completely new-look interior.
