Just after 5pm yesterday afternoon, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Ambulance NSW to reports of a motor vehicle collision on a rural property.
New England Police confirmed a 14-year-old female was driving a vehicle on a private property, where she resides, at Gum Flat when the vehicle struck a tree.
Local ambulance paramedics and emergency services arrived on scene and commenced treatment of the teenager prior to the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and the Critical Care Medical Team.
The Helicopter Critical Care Medical team assisted in treatment before the 15-year-old was stabilised.
She was then flown direct to Tamworth hospital.
