He's also accused of withdrawing cash, and making purchases at several businesses.
Detectives claimed he defrauded the association of more than $83,000 between November 2018 and August 2019, when police were alerted.
The 29-year-old was arrested at a Narrabri home in March and charged after a seven-month investigation by Oxley detectives.
Hilderson spent one night in custody after his arrest before he was granted bail by the court to attend rehab.
He remains on conditional bail ahead of sentencing.
As part of his bail, Hilderson must live at a specified address in Narrabri, or in a residential rehabilitation unit.
He remains under an overnight curfew and can't leave home in Narrabri unless in the company of a named person, nominated in court.
Hilderson is prohibited from contacting witnesses; must not enter any licensed premises; and he had to post $500 in surety as part of his bail.
